VSTS / Github support

I would like to store the model in a VSTS / Github Repository to control versioning. Ideally, you would provide a web API or a set of PowerShell cmdlets to interact with  the projects to enable DevOps / CI CD

I would like to request support for on-premise Team Foundation Server (TFS)  -  which is just the on-prem version of VSTS.

It would certainly be of use to export a text description of a model (maybe in JSON or simlar format) to a version control tool e.g. Git. While the versioning within SqlDBM does offer some features it is no where near as complete as a standard tool with support for things like branches and merging.

Has there been any further thought given to a more "DevOps" approach to model collaboration? Say we have finished a Phase I model and would like to start developing the Phase 2 versions while not touching the V1 model. OK, let's say a few tweaks were made to the V1 model. We would need branching and merge capability to unite the different versions once development is done. Is this a common enough use case to consider for a new feature?

Thanks for this idea, Bill. While we haven't heard this specific use case before, I have forwarded it to our product team and they will take a look into it. Thank you!

I did find a link to what be a solution to our request - integration with Azure DevOps

Hi Bill, Oh good to hear - we weren't sure if this kind of functionality was what you were looking for. Glad this will work.

Thanks again!
