Customizing Foreign Key Columns Naming Convention

mark 9 months ago updated by hannah gryska 9 months ago 1

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the possibility of managing the naming convention of the column name when assigning a foreign key in your data modeler.

Currently, when assigning a foreign key, SQLDBM auto-assigns a name based on the parent primary key columns. While we already know how to assign a naming convention to the foreign key constraint, we are referring to the actual column name itself.

We would appreciate it if you could provide some guidance on how to manage the column name convention when assigning a foreign key. Is there a way to customize the naming convention for the column name, or is it possible to use the existing naming convention for the foreign key constraint for the column name as well?

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.
