Feature Request: Ability to "tag" a table / view as Future release and / or "Do not include in DDL generation"
- It's quite common where a table, or family of tables, is created in response to business or technical requirements, but is not due to be deployed until some future date. This should also include the bullet point below.
- For tables that are eligible for release, there may be a need to temporarily indicate that the table should not be included in any DDL generation.
When either of these are enabled on a table, it should be visibly represented, so it doesn't cause confusion on others who may try to generate DDL, or think that a future table needs to be promoted in this release.
Customer support service by UserEcho
Hi Brad,
My name is Retinder and I am from the SqlDBM's support team. Thank you for sharing this idea with us. I will pass this along to our products team.
In the meantime, I would like to suggest creating another schema called something like "future_release" to provide a clear indication of which objects are ready for deployment and which ones are not.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Retinder Labana
