Revision flags let your team tag, approve, and annotate revisions so that each one's status and purpose are clear at a glance. Mark a revision as Approved to record formal sign-off, apply color-coded flags to signal its role (for example, release or hotfix), and add a comment to capture the context behind a change.
These flags, along with each revision's approval status and comments, are surfaced on the Revisions page and the Compare Revisions screen. This makes it easy to see which revisions have been approved or flagged and to read the notes attached to them while comparing, so you can quickly identify the revisions that matter without opening each one.
Flags are purely informational and do not impact the project or underlying DDL in any way.
Every revision also keeps a set of audit fields that record who last touched it and when: Approved by and Approved date capture the approval sign-off, while Changed by and Change date track the comment field and other flags (Created by and Created Date . These fields are stamped automatically and are never entered by hand.
Set a revision flag
Revision Flags can be assigned from the Revisions menu.
Access Revisions from the main menu of the SqlDBM screen or the project dashboard.
Navigate to Revisions from the main menu of the SqlDBM
Or click on the project sub-menu in the Dashboard and select "Manage revisions."
From the Releases screen, click the pencil icon to bring up the flags modal.
Click the icons to assign or remove flags on a revision.
You can assign or remove any combination of flags, mark the revision as Approved, and add a comment (up to 500 characters) for context. SqlDBM records the audit fields for you: setting or unsetting the Approved flag stamps Approved by and Approved date with your name and the current date, while changing any other flag or editing the comment stamps Changed by and Change date. These four fields are read-only.
