Can Copilot enforce our modeling standards automatically, and flag what a change missed?
Copilot checks your standards when you ask it to. It does not run checks on its own. You can:
- Save your standards as a Skill and run it by typing / in chat. Skills work in the main chat, on individual objects, and in the compare, merge and alter script views.
- Ask Copilot to review a merge that is waiting for approval. On the merge screen it gives a verdict and lists what to check before you approve.
What scope does a Skill apply at: project or account?
A Skill belongs either to a project or to your whole organization.
Organization Skills are available in every project in your account, and any administrator can create or edit them. Project Skills are available only in their project, and any project member with write access can edit them. When a project Skill and an organization Skill share a name, the project Skill runs in that project.
Can a Skill run only on the changes in a branch instead of the whole model?
Yes. Open the compare or merge view and run the Skill from the chat there. Copilot then works only on the differences shown in that view.
