How do we create a semantic model, and what does SqlDBM generate versus what we fill in?
Open the Semantic model page and ask Copilot to create a model. Copilot can add tables, set semantic properties, create metrics, filters, verified queries, custom fields and SQL expressions, and arrange the layout. There is also a semantic model Skill template to start from.
Copilot can draft business names, descriptions, synonyms, metrics and verified queries for you to review. Sample values are the exception: Copilot has no access to your warehouse data, so it does not guess them, and they should come from values in your actual data. For details, see Copilot on Semantic Models.
Can Copilot apply semantic properties across a whole diagram, not one table at a time?
Copilot can update many objects in one request, so you can ask it to apply properties to a set of tables at once.
